In brief

  • Fixed prosthetics: crowns, veneers, post-and-core inlays.
  • Removable: acrylic, nylon and frame dentures; repair and relining.
  • The cost depends on the material, the type of restoration and the number of stages.

Prosthetics are needed when a tooth is destroyed or missing and a filling can no longer restore it. A well-made restoration brings back chewing and the shape of the smile and protects neighbouring teeth from drifting.

The prosthodontist chooses the type of restoration individually — depending on the condition of the teeth, the bite, your wishes and budget. The price list shows materials (metal, metal-ceramic, zirconia, plastic), additional stages and repairs as separate items.

When prosthetics are considered

  • A tooth is badly broken down and a filling will not hold
  • After root canal treatment the tooth needs a crown for protection
  • One or several teeth are missing — a bridge, removable denture or implant
  • You want to change the colour or shape of front teeth (veneers, crowns)
  • An existing denture rubs, has become loose or has broken

How it works at Dentika

  1. Prosthodontist consultation. Examination, X-ray, discussion of options and materials. The doctor explains the stages and timing.
  2. Tooth preparation. If needed, the tooth or canals are treated first, then the tooth is prepared for a crown under local anaesthesia.
  3. Impression or scan. An impression (or digital scan) is taken and sent to the dental laboratory.
  4. Temporary restoration. While the permanent one is made, a temporary crown protects the tooth.
  5. Try-in. The doctor checks the shape, colour and bite; the restoration is adjusted if needed.
  6. Fitting and follow-up. The permanent restoration is fitted and a check-up visit is arranged.

What affects the cost

  • Material: metal, metal-ceramic, zirconia, plastic, nylon
  • Type of restoration: crown, veneer, bridge, removable denture
  • Additional stages: post-and-core, temporary crown, cementation method
  • For removable dentures — repair or relining is priced separately from making a new one

Preparation and aftercare

  • Bring any existing X-rays and records you have
  • Describe what bothers you: bite, colour, sensitivity — the doctor will take it into account
  • Do not try to glue or bend a restoration yourself — it may damage it
  • Clean the restoration and teeth as the doctor recommends, especially between the teeth
  • Attend check-ups — they help to adjust the fit in time

Questions and answers

How much do prosthetics cost at Dentika?

The price depends on type and material: the 2026–2027 price list shows metal, metal-ceramic and zirconia crowns, veneers, removable and frame dentures separately. The doctor gives an approximate amount after examination.

Which crown is better: metal-ceramic or zirconia?

It depends on the tooth and the load. Zirconia has no metal base, so it is often chosen for front teeth; metal-ceramic is a common option for chewing teeth. The final decision is made by the doctor together with you.

Is preparing a tooth for a crown painful?

Tooth preparation is done under local anaesthesia. Short-lived discomfort afterwards is possible — a temporary crown protects the tooth.

What if a crown or denture breaks?

Do not use the damaged restoration and do not repair it yourself. Call us — the administrator will offer a visit. The price list includes repairs of removable dentures.

The information is for reference and does not replace a doctor’s consultation.
